The Bishop's Hour
“The Bishop’s Hour” guests this week include:
Ron Johnson, executive director of the Arizona Catholic Conference, joins us to talk about what’s new in the Arizona Legislative Session, including school choice, life and family issues, and immigration. The Arizona Catholic Conference is the the public policy arm for the three dioceses in Arizona.
Beth Straley, Monica Jordan and Anita Usher — all three who are instrumental in the 40 Days for Life prayer and pro-life movement — talk about their upcoming campaign. 40 Days for Life is a community-based campaign that draws attention to the evil of abortion through the use of a three-point program: Prayer and fasting, constant vigil and community outreach.
Candace Wiest, chair of the 23rd Annual Crozier Gala, stops by to discuss the popular fundraiser as well as the Catholic Community Foundation and its grants program. The Catholic Community Foundation is an independent, non-profit charitable organization that works with individuals, families and organizations who want to support the religious, educational and philanthropic objectives of the Diocese of Phoenix.
