Catholic Charities is one of the major social service agencies of the Diocese of Phoenix. According to their website, Domestic Violence is a pattern of behavior that includes the use or threat of violence and intimidation for the purpose of gaining power and control over another person. Violence is characterized by: physical abuse, sexual abuse, economic abuse, isolation, emotional abuse, control or verbal abuse.*
Their domestic violence programs shelter and assist women and their children to achieve an independent life free from abuse.
