The Communications Office is committed to coordinating the Diocese of Phoenix’s internal and external communications efforts. It works collaboratively with Church leadership, staff, parishes and schools to ensure Bishop Olmsted’s priorities are effectively articulated in a variety of disciplines, including: media relations, internal communications, social media, The Catholic Sun Newspaper, websites, television and radio.

This award-winning and nationally acclaimed communication vehicle, in both print and online, shares in the mission of proclaiming Christ’s saving message by providing news, information, education and a forum for discussion. The Catholic Sun is a trusted source of information about the Church, and provides a connection and a sense of place for Catholics throughout the diocese’s 44,000 square miles.
Its focus is on the Bishop’s priorities of evangelization, Catholic education, marriage and life issues, catechesis, timely Catholic news, and diocesan and parish information, through its print and electronic products.
